A common way to remove the jagged lines is to increase the number of pixels, or samples, on the line which helps to smooth it. Increasing the resolution of the entire image is not always practical, so many techniques have been developed which intelligently blend the colors of the jagged edges with the colors of nearby pixels but most of these often remove fine detail. NVIDIA researchers have successfully trained a neural network to find these jagged edges and perform high-quality anti-aliasing by determining the best color for each pixel, and then apply proper colors to create smoother edges and improve image quality.
DLSS leverages a deep neural network to extract multidimensional features of the rendered scene and intelligently combine details from multiple frames to construct a high-quality final image. DLSS uses fewer input samples than traditional techniques such as Temporal Anti-Aliasing TAAwhile avoiding the algorithmic difficulties such techniques face with transparency and other complex scene elements.

Wildcard doesn't employ any core-engine developers who specialize in the Unreal Engine which is why so many bugs have been around for years and why they're still using a very old version of Unreal Engine with a partially updated render engine which was done in mid And before anyone says otherwise, just go through the changelog for the Unreal Engine over the past two years and you'll see.

If it's not showing up above the fidelityfx setting at the main menu, then you're one of the unfortunate few where the game doesn't recognize your rtx card as an rtx card.

Deep learning super sampling uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to produce an image that looks like a higher-resolution image, without the rendering overhead. That trains the algorithm to be able to produce similarly beautiful images, but without requiring the graphics card to work as hard to do it.
DLSS also incorporates more traditional beautifying techniques like anti-aliasing to create an eventual image that looks like it was rendered at a much higher resolution and detail level, without sacrificing frame rate.
Where it originally launched with little competition, though, other sharpening techniques from both AMD and Nvidia itself now compete with DLSS for mindshare and effective utilization in After rending the game at a lower resolution, DLSS infers information from its knowledge base of super-resolution image training, to generate an image that still looks like it was running at a higher resolution.

The GTX Ti starts soon. According to the latest information, it has also installed tensor cores that could be used for DLSS. In demonstrations, it all but eliminates the performance hit taken in games that enable fancy new ray-tracing graphics on RTX cards. But how does it work? Super-sampling is something you can do on your machine right now with a lot of games. It essentially renders the game at a resolution beyond what your monitor can support. That sounds strange, but it can help smooth out some of the harsh edges in polygonal graphics. To learn more about super-sampling, check out this article.
Deep learning is something of a nebulous term: it basically means tons and tons of computations run on high-powered hardware in a process that improves over time. Combine super-sampling for smoother polygon lines and textures with deep learning for applying general improvements to a game, and you get DLSS. The improvements over a non-DLSS setup were impressive, with smoother, more even textures and polygons evident.
Ray tracing, first introduced with RTX-series cards, allows for more accurate reflections, shadows, and diffusion of light with some amazing results. Unfortunately, ray tracing also increases the load on the GPU. The load is so high that many games fall below that desirable 60 frames-per-second mark, even when using the latest NVIDIA cards and high-end components in the rest of the PC. In its CES demonstration, a game with ray tracing and DLSS both enabled played within a frame or two of the game running without any ray tracing enabled at all.
To put it as simply as possible: DLSS enables games to run much faster with more fancy lighting effects. It will get faster as NVIDIA improves it—possibly shaving the time down to weeks or days for one game—but at the moment it takes a while.
Early testing shows that, indeed, it boosts framerates by FPS—about the same amount you lose by enabling RTX ray tracing in other games. NVIDIA has announced a list of other existing and upcoming games that will support DLSS eventually—presumably the company is running its data centers at capacity to get it ready. Comments 0.
